A brilliant special effects artist and engineer, Beck wanted his intelligence and creativity to be valued in a world that praised fame and superpowers over hard earned skill. His illusions were meant to inspire awe and prove that human ingenuity could rival heroes like Spider-Man, not simply cause harm.
